A bi-
weekly gathering of families to study art, music, hymns, and poetry, using the techniques of Charlotte Mason. The use of living books is a very important part of TBG. A living book is one that is of interest to the reader and is most times in the format of a story.
This is the order in which we do our study together. In total you will need about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Truth, Beauty, Goodness: These transcendentals, according to Christian doctrine, are the ultimate desires of humans, the source and medium of which are God. In pursuing these transcendentals, we urge one another on to a fuller vision of God in Christ.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

But to
love rightly is to love what is orderly and beautiful in an educated and
disciplined way…for the object of education is to teach us to love what is
beautiful. Plato’s Republic
…A child is born a person with a mind as
complete and as beautiful as his beautiful little body… he always has all the
mind he requires for his occasions; that is, that his mind is the instrument of
his education and that his education does not produce his mind. –Charlotte Mason
